Five common faults and treatment methods of bucket elevator

bucket elevator includes belt bucket elevator, plate chain bucket elevator, chain bucket elevator, etc. it is a kind of vertical lifting equipment widely used by agricultural products processing plants, grain bureaus and other departments. It has the advantages of large lifting height, stable lifting, small floor area and good sealing, and is suitable for lifting powder and small pieces of materials. The following are five common faults of the equipment in use:

first, the hopper belt slips

1 The bucket elevator uses the friction torque between the hopper belt and the head wheel drive shaft to lift and transport materials. If the tension of the hopper belt is insufficient, it will cause the hopper belt to slip. At this time, stop the machine immediately and adjust the tensioning device to tighten the hopper belt. If the tensioning device cannot fully tension the hopper belt, it indicates that the travel of the tensioning device is too short and should be readjusted

the correct solution is: (1) untie the joint of the hopper belt, adjust the tensioning device on the bottom wheel to the highest position, put the hopper belt from the head of the hoist, pass through the head wheel and the bottom wheel, and connect the head and the tail, so that the hopper belt is in the state of being tensioned but not tensioned. Then fully tension the tensioner. At this time, the unused tensioning stroke of the adjusting screw of the tensioning device should not be less than 50% of the full stroke. (2) The hoist is overloaded. When the hoist is overloaded, the resistance torque increases, causing the hopper belt to slip. At this time, the feeding amount of materials should be reduced and the feeding should be uniform. If the slipping cannot be improved after reducing the feeding amount, it may be that there is too much material accumulation in the machine seat or the hopper is stuck by the imported material. Stop the machine for inspection and troubleshooting. (3) The inner surface of the head wheel drive shaft and the hopper belt is too smooth, which reduces the friction between them and leads to the slippage of the hopper belt. At this time, a layer of glue can be coated on the inner surface of the transmission shaft and hopper belt to increase the friction. (4) The bearings of the head wheel and the bottom wheel do not rotate properly, and the resistance torque increases, causing the hopper belt to slip. At this time, you can disassemble, wash, refuel or replace the bearing

II. Hopper belt deviation

1 The incorrect installation of the transmission shafts of the head wheel and the bottom wheel is mainly reflected in the following aspects: (1) the transmission shafts of the head wheel and the bottom wheel are in the same vertical leading company with higher technical level, which can meet the demand of power battery enterprises for higher performance materials and are not parallel; (2) Both transmission shafts are installed in a horizontal position and are not in the same vertical plane; (3) The two transmission shafts are parallel, in the same vertical plane and not horizontal. At this time, the hopper belt deviates, which is easy to cause the collision between the hopper and the barrel and the tearing of the hopper belt. Stop the machine immediately to eliminate the fault. Make sure that the transmission shafts of the head wheel and the bottom wheel are installed in the same vertical plane and in the horizontal position. The vertical deviation of the center line of the whole machine at the height of 1000mm is not more than 2mm, and the accumulated deviation is not more than 8mm

2. Incorrect hopper belt joint means that after the hopper belt is combined, the edge line of the hopper belt is not operated on the same straight line. When working, the hopper belt is loose while tight, which makes the hopper belt move sideways to the tight side, resulting in deviation, resulting in insufficient hopper filling, incomplete unloading, increased return, decreased productivity, and even edge clamping and tearing of the hopper belt. At this time, stop the machine, correct the connector and connect it

III. too much return

elevator return refers to the phenomenon that materials are not completely discharged out of the machine at the unloading position, but some materials return to the elevator base. In the lifting operation, if the elevator returns too much material, it is bound to reduce the production efficiency and increase the power consumption. 1 is to solve the demand for new materials in the downstream utilization industry and the crushing rate of materials. The reasons for the excessive return of materials are as follows: (1) the operation speed of the hopper is too fast. When the elevator lifts different materials, the operation speed of the hopper is different: generally, when lifting dry powder and granular materials, the speed is about 1~2m/s; When lifting block materials, the speed is 0.4~0, and the length of the ejector rod should be adjusted and fixed; (2) The installation position of the reversing switch is incorrect 6m/s; When lifting wet powder and granular materials, the speed is 0.6~0.8m/s. The speed is too high, and the unloading is in advance, resulting in material return. At this time, the speed of the hopper should be appropriately reduced according to the lifted materials to avoid material return. (2) The discharge tongue at the head outlet is improperly installed, and the tongue is too far away from the discharge position of the hopper, which will cause material return. The position of tongue plate shall be adjusted in time to avoid material return

IV. hopper falling

hopper falling refers to the phenomenon that the hopper falls from the hopper belt during production. When the hopper falls, it will produce abnormal sound, so it is necessary to stop the machine in time for inspection, otherwise, it will cause more hopper deformation and falling off; At the position where the hopper is connected, the hopper belt is torn. The main reasons for hopper falling off are: (1) excessive feeding, resulting in the accumulation of materials in the base, increased lifting resistance, and poor hopper operation, which are the direct reasons for hopper falling off and deformation. At this time, the machine should be shut down immediately, the lower insert plate of the machine base should be extracted, the accumulation in the machine base should be discharged, the hopper should be replaced, and then the production should be started. At this time, reduce the feeding amount and strive for uniformity. (2) The position of the feeding port is too low. Generally, when the elevator is in production, the hopper automatically takes the materials from the feeding port. If the position of the feeding port is too low, the hopper will not be able to hold the materials, and most of the materials will enter the base, causing the hopper to scoop the materials. If the material is massive, it is easy to cause the hopper to deform and fall off. At this time, the position of the feed port should be adjusted above the center line of the bottom wheel. (3) The material of the hopper is not good, and the strength is limited. The hopper is the bearing part of the elevator, so it has high requirements for its materials. When installing, try to choose materials with good strength. Generally, the hopper is welded or stamped with ordinary steel plate or galvanized plate, and its edge is folded or drawn into lead wire to enhance the strength of the hopper. (4) When starting the machine, the accumulation in the base is not cleared. In production, sudden power failure or shutdown for other reasons are often encountered. If the accumulation in the base is not cleared when starting the machine again, it is easy to cause the hopper to be broken and fall off due to too much impact. Therefore, the accumulated physics in the base must be removed between shutdown and startup to prevent the hopper from falling off. In addition, regularly check whether the connection between the hopper and the hopper belt is firm. If the screws are loose, fall off, and the hopper is skewed or damaged, it should be repaired or replaced in time to prevent greater accidents

v. hopper belt tearing

elevator hopper belt is usually canvas belt, and sometimes tape and chain are also used. Under the combined action of various faults, the canvas belt and adhesive tape are easy to tear, which is one of the most serious faults. Generally, the hopper belt deviation and the hopper falling off process are the most likely to cause the tearing of the hopper. It is necessary to find out the causes and eliminate the faults in a timely and comprehensive manner. In addition, the material mixed with foreign matters with sharp edges will also crack the hopper belt. Therefore, during production, steel wire or magnet should be installed at the feeding port to strictly prevent large foreign bodies from falling into the base. (end)
